The Zeno-Protect Clean-Off-Zones are designed for use in entrances of buildings to stop the ingress of dirt and water from the outside. Therefore they become soiled with use. This dirt has to be removed in order to keep the Clean-Off-Zones effective.
Thoroughly vacuum to remove grit, sand and dust. The pile should be agitated. Vacuum cleaners equipped with powerful suction and a rotating brush are most effective in dealing with this task. A vacuum cleaner is effective on dry soiling. It must be in good working order.
Protect Clean-Offf-Zones will collect grease and other sticky substances. A vacuum cleaner is ineffective. A water extraction machine is required to remove greasy soiling. Heavily soiled areas should be pre-treated before the machine is used. It is also recommended to run the machine with clean water (no detergents) to remove the last residues of soiling and detergents. It is important to remove residues of soiling and detergents, as residues will contribute towards shortening the soiling/cleaning cycle. Dry chemical systems (eg Host) are also useful for treating the soiled areas. The dry powder is worked into the pile, left to absord the soiling and then vacuumed out.
When machines and chemicals are used the instructions of the manufacturers must be closely followed.
